Kitchen Monitoring and Failover

If you want to monitor whether Kitchen Output is available or not and want to fail over to another Kitchen Output, you can use the following setting.

There are three different way to check the status of Kitchen Output

  • METHOD = PING: Simply ping and check whether it is alive
  • METHOD = CONNECT: Ping + try initiate connection to check
  • METHOD = COMMAND A: Ping + connect + send a status command to check.  Only Epson compatible printers support the COMMAND A method

IP: the system will try auto detect if not, specify.

PORT: default is 9100 and if specified will be used instead

FREQUENCY: how frequently to check

FAILOVER: In case status check failed, the system will redirect the Kitchen Output to the designated Kitchen Output.  For example, K1 -> K2.   You can also make K2 as the same connection as the receipt printer, it can redirect all the output to the receipt printer.
