You can ask TIP from the customer facing display (signature pad) either before the transaction (PRE-TIP) or after completion (POST-TIP) when you set the value as CUSTOMER
While any post tip adjust only works on the Credit Card transaction with non-PIN, PRE-TIP can work with any payment types including Credit Cards w/PIN, Debit, Gift Card, etc since the tip amount is entered prior to running the transaction with the host processor.
One thing you should note is that you no longer set POST-TIP from Settings->Gratuity->Show (removed). Instead, you now set POST-TIP=CUSTOMER at each payment type.
